A Tucson native, Melissa Bernardo brings decades of professional experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping others to the Law Office of Tammy Carter. She attended Desert View High School and spent many years playing Bobby Sox softball, continuing the sport through high school and into her college years.
Before pursuing her longtime interest in the legal field, Melissa built an impressive career of more than 30 years with Safeway. Throughout her time there, she gained experience in numerous roles, including customer service, floral, human resources, accounting, bakery, and front-end operations. After retiring from Safeway, Melissa decided it was the perfect time to pursue the career she had always envisioned for herself and joined the Law Office of Tammy Carter as a Legal Assistant.
Melissa values family above all else. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Neil, and is incredibly proud of her daughter, Paloma, who is currently completing her master’s degree at the University of Arizona.
Outside of the office, Melissa is a self-proclaimed movie buff and enjoys relaxing with her beloved orange tabby, Sasha—affectionately known as “Sashi-Girl.”
